The kids of the class each dyed their own skien of handspun merino or Wensleydale wool with Kool-aid and food coloring based dyes. I finished the yarns to be colorfast, and wove the piece with all 24 of their unique yarns as well as other wool, merino, alpaca, cotton, acrylic, polymide and other yarns and rovings. The fringe features one strand from each student, as well as the teacher. The piece hangs from a stick from the school playground.
